Tropical Hibiscus Plants in South Florida Gardens
Planting Tropical Hibiscus in the Florida Garden
Hibiscus bushes and trees are easy to take care of and put plenty of color in the garden. The tropical hibiscus comes in a variety of colors including pinks, reds, yellows, and oranges. They come with single and double flowers. Landscape your yard with a hedge, tree, or an accent bush to beautify your garden landscape. Plant 3 to 6 feet apart. Feed twice a month during growing season with dynamite plant food and the flowers will keep on blooming. Trim back occasionally to keep the shrubbery full and healthy looking. Many flowering plants need a lot of attention but Hibiscus plants are hardy and can take the tropical heat here in Florida gardens. They also attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
