Originally the development of the Seasons at Tradition started in 2000 by the legendary home builders, Levitt, and Sons, which soon became a victim of the real estate bust on one hand and the adverse effects of the Chinese drywall plague on the other.

Top 100 Most Important People of the Century

The unfortunate events resulted in the bankruptcy of the company and developer. William Levitt, the founder of Levitt and Sons, who was instrumental in the construction of the thousands of homes across the east coast of the United States.  He was one of Time Magazine’s  Top 100 Most Important People of the Century.

 
After the Levit and Sons, a new developer, Avatar Homes, took over the project.  Due to some interesting circumstances the 80 years old, Avatar Homes was forced to change the company name to AV Homes.  The main culprit in taking such drastic action was a movie by the same name, Avatar, that became the most successful movie of all time.  The popularity of the movie Avatar took over the Google search for that name and place the keyword for the movie on the front page.  Fighting with Search Engine Optimization, SEO, to rank Avatar Homes in front pages proved to be fruitless, which resulted in forcing the company to change its name to AV Homes after 80 years in the construction business and the developer of Port St Lucie 55+ Communities.
